Position: Experienced Long Form Youtube Video Editor
I'm a YouTube creator with over 650k subscribers in the AI, tech, and self learning space, known for producing polished talking head segments with well-timed b-roll, precise pacing, and sound engineering that makes the content shine. If you’re an experienced editor with a passion for edutainment content, I’d love to hear from you.
This video and this video are good examples of the style, length, and technical abilities required. You need to have a solid grasp of fundamental editing skills but there is no need for animations or complex special effects.
Location: Remote, Part-time/Full-time

Base Compensation:
Part-time: Hourly ($15 - $40) or flat rate/video ($200 - $400)
Full-time: Let’s discuss based on your skill level, volume, career goals etc.
10% Youtube adsense revenue sharing (after 3 months trial period for both part-time and full-time)
Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing: Edit high-quality video content for YouTube, maintaining a consistent visual style, pacing, and sound design that aligns with the channel’s brand.
B-Roll Integration: Seamlessly incorporate b-roll footage to support the talking head content, ensuring smooth transitions and visual storytelling.
Sound Design: Ensure professional-level sound engineering, including audio syncing, noise reduction, and adding sound effects/music that enhances the overall experience.
Collaboration: Work closely with the content creator to understand vision and provide input on video direction, structure, and pacing.
Content Optimization: Optimize video for YouTube algorithms and ensure content adheres to platform guidelines.
Revisions and Feedback: Make revisions based on feedback from the creator and ensure that the final product meets quality expectations.
Time Management: Meet deadlines, manage multiple video projects simultaneously, and handle workflow efficiently under time constraints.
Consistency & Quality Control: Maintain high production values for each video, ensuring consistency across the channel's content.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio of work.
Software Skills: Expertise in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar. Knowledge of After Effects and sound editing tools is a plus.
Technical Expertise: Experience in audio engineering, visual effects, and rendering. No need for animations.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring high levels of accuracy in editing, including syncing audio, video, and transitions.
Creative Vision: Ability to work with minimal supervision, bring creative ideas to the table, and suggest improvements to enhance video production.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interpret creative direction and collaborate effectively with the content creator, producer, and other team members.
Adaptability: Ability to handle changes and adapt quickly to evolving project needs or feedback.
